Tink
was just back from the funeral of his friend who had shot himself, I had just signed the letter forfeiting a
grant to build a new library. Side by side we sat at the bar drinking our
Budweiser and Larceny Bourbon. His Harley Davidson and my Subaru Forester only
scratch the surface of our differences. No amount of words or booze could come
close to the cheering effect of sitting shoulder to shoulder with someone who
understands. I wouldn't have met him at
the library, I'm glad I met him at the bar.
